GREY CEMENT

Gray cement has around 3 to 4 % iron oxide which gives it the gray color. It also contains manganese and salts like chromium. Ordinary portland cement(OPC) is most widely used in construction. Ordinary portland cement contains calcium hydroxide and calcium aluminium hydrates and they react with sulphate and form calcium sulphate and calcium aluminate which result in expansion, cracking and loss of bond. So in places where sulphate reaction is possible, Sulphate resistant cement(SRC) is used. Sulphate resistant cement(SRC) has low Tricalcium aluminate (C3A) content. The percentage of C3A is kept below 5% so there is increase in resisting power against sulphate attack. We supply both forms of gray cement.

WHITE CEMENT

White cement is another variant of cement with calcium hydroxide and calcium sulphate as it's major ingredients. White cement manufacturing process slightly differs from the gray cement which results in the change in the form. The rotary kilns used to combine raw materials operate in 1600°C instead of 1450°C required by the gray cement manufacture. So it is more expensive. It's setting behavior and strength development are essentially the same as that of gray cement. Yet due to it's cost, white cement is not used as much as the gray cement. White cement is generally used for aesthetic purpose and for painting. It is also used in combination with inorganic pigments to produce bright colors. We supply both the gray cement and the white cement.
