LIMESTONE

LIMESTONE

LIMESTONE

Limestone is calcium carbonate (CaCO3) - a sedimentary rock formed in marine environment. It is available both in sedimentary and crystallline forms. Layers of sediments from millions of years are pressurized in natural processes which results in rock formation.

BAUXITE

BAUXITE

BAUXITE

Bauxite is a sedimentary rock with high aluminium content. It is the world's major source of aluminium and gallium. Bauxite consists mostly of the aluminium minerals gibbsite (Al(OH)3), boehmite (γ-AlO(OH)) and diaspore (α-AlO(OH)), mixed with the two iron oxides goethite (FeO(OH)) and haematite (Fe2O3), the aluminium clay mineral kaolinite (Al2Si2O5(OH)4) and small amounts of anatase (TiO2) and ilmenite (FeTiO3 or FeO.TiO2). Bauxite appears dull in luster and is reddish-brown, white, or tan in color. We supply both types of bauxites that are lateritic bauxites (silicate bauxites) and karst bauxite ores (carbonate bauxites).

CHROME ORE

CHROME ORE

CHROME ORE

Chromium is derived from chromite ore. It is an oxide mineral. Chromite is commonly called as chrome. It is hard and resistant to corrosion. Chromite is iron-black in color with a metallic luster. It has a high heat stability. The chromium extracted from chromite ore is used in many industries such as in chrome plating, production of corrosion- resistant superalloys, nichrome, and stainless steel. Chromium is used as a pigment for glass, glazes, and paint, and as an oxidizing agent for tanning leather. Stainless steel normally contains about 20 percent of chromium. Chromium is mainly used in porcelain tiles as a pigmentation agent.

DOLOMITE

DOLOMITE

DOLOMITE

Dolomite is a sedimentary carbonate rock that contains a high percentage of the mineral dolomite. It occurs widely, often in association with limestone dolomite was formed as a magnesium replacement of limestone or of lime mud before lithification. The geological process of conversion of calcite to dolomite is known as dolomitization and any intermediate product is known as dolomitic limestone. Dolomite is mainly used as a construction aggregate, in agriculture to neutralize soil acidity, as a filler in fertilizers and other products, as a flux in metallurgy, and in glass manufacturing. Dolomite is used in the production of epsom salt, and also used as a magnesium supplement.

GYPSUM

GYPSUM

GYPSUM

Gypsum is a soft sulfate mineral composed of calcium sulfate dihydrate. Pure gypsum is white in color. Gypsum is used as a fertilizer and also as a soil reclamant. Gypsum blocks are used like concrete blocks in building construction. Gypsum board is used as a finish for walls and ceilings, and called in construction as plasterboard, or drywall. Alabaster, a fine-grained white variety of gypsum, has been used as a material to create sculpture. In food industry gypsum is used as a coagulant, in baking as a dough conditioner, reducing stickiness and as a source of dietary calcium. In medical industry it is used as plaster for surgical splints and as Impression plasters in dentistry.

GABBRO

GABBRO

GABBRO

Gabbro is an intrusive rock which cintains of chromium, nickel, cobalt, gold, silver, platinum, and copper sulfides. It is known as black granite in construction industry. It is similar to basalt in chemical structure. It is rich in magnesium and iron and found deep under earth's surface. It is an igneous rock that is low in silica. Gabbro is composed of pyroxene and calcium-rich plagioclase, with minor amounts of hornblende, and olivine.

COPPER ORE

COPPER ORE

COPPER ORE

Copper is a soft, malleable, and ductile metal with very high thermal and electrical conductivity. A freshly exposed surface of pure copper has a pinkish-orange color. Copper is used as a conductor of heat and electricity, as a building material, and as a constituent of various metal alloys, such as sterling silver used in jewelry, cupronickel used to make marine hardware and coins, and constantan used in strain gauges and thermocouples for temperature measurement. Copper is one of the few metals that can occur in nature in a directly usable metallic form (native metals).

IRON ORE

IRON ORE

IRON ORE

Pure iron surfaces are a mirror-like silvery-gray. It is the fourth most common element in the Earth's crust. Iron reacts readily with atmosphere resulting in rust. High-purity irons are more resistant to corrosion. Stainless steel , which is an alloy of uron is used for making cutlery, and hospital and food-service equipment.Iron is the most widely used of all the metals, accounting for over 90% of worldwide metal production. Its low cost and high strength often make it the material of choice to withstand stress or transmit forces, such as the construction of machinery and machine tools, rails, automobiles, ship hulls, concrete reinforcing bars, and the load-carrying framework of buildings.

MARBLE

MARBLE

MARBLE

Marble is a rock resulting from metamorphism of sedimentary carbonate rocks, most commonly limestone or dolomite rock. Construction marble is a stone which is composed of calcite, dolomite or serpentine that is capable of taking a polish. Marble is commonly used for sculpture and as a building material. It is composed primarily of the mineral calcium carbonate. Marble is usually a light-colored rock. When it is formed from a limestone with very few impurities, it will be white in color. Marble that contains impurities such as clay minerals, iron oxides, or bituminous material can be bluish, gray, pink, yellow, or black in color.

GRANITE

GRANITE

GRANITE

It is the most abundant rock in the earth's crust. It is a coarse-grained, intrusive igneous rock composed mostly of quartz, feldspar, and mica. Granite has low porosity, which means that it is resistant to water absorption and weathering. There are many types of granite such as white granite, black granite, black and white, pink granite, red granite, blue granite, and green granite. It is formed under extreme heat and pressure under earth's surface. How it cools after it is formed underearth determines it's texture and color.
